On Wednesday evening, May 8, 2024 the evening before Ascension Day, a big Run & Swing event will take place in the center of Alkmaar. The Alkmaar City Run by night has it’s 10th edition in which no fewer than 10,000 runners from the region will appear at the start. The 5 and 10 km routes run through atmospheric streets and crowded hospitality squares. The residents along the course turn it into a party every year and enhance the atmosphere by dressing the streets with light items and extra music. 

10 km

The main distance during the Alkmaar City Run by night is the 10 km. You will see the entire city centre during the 10 km and make another small attractive loop on the south side of Alkmaar city centre. Enjoy all the beauty Alkmaar has to offer you. The course runs through atmospheric streets and over cosy hospitality squares. The residents and spectators along the route make it a party every year and enhance the atmosphere by dressing up the streets with garlands, light items and extra music.

5 km

The second distance of the Alkmaar City Run by night is the 5 km. A distance suitable for every runner. Sportily run a lap through the centre of Alkmaar and finish at Swinging Night. 

Rollebol Kids Run

Are you between 4 and 12 years old and do you like running? Then join the Rollebol Kids Run! Registration is also possible on the day of the event.
